Books Plays Poems - BBC Radio for Schools Summer Term 1965, published in 1965 by the BBC. Printed to accompany a series of BBC radio broadcasts on the Home Service. Published only two years before Sassoon’s death the collection contains two of his poems, ‘They,’ under the heading of ‘Conflict,’ and ‘The Hero,’ under ‘Courage.’ Nice to see that even though a lot of people considered Sassoon to be an irrelevance at the time this booklet was printed (two years before his death), his poems were still part of the curriculum and remain so still.
